No Amount of Money Can Be Traded for Peace – Edward Onoja

Kogi State Government has vowed to sustain the inter-religious harmony in the state.

Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Edward Onoja made this known while inspecting the newly completed Church and Mosque built by the Administrator of Omala local government, Hon. Aboh Ibrahim in Ibado-Akpacha.

Onoja said no amount of money can be traded for peace. He noted the state has witnessed religious harmony under the present administration in the state and promised to sustain it.

He described peace as a panacea to sustained development and vow not to spare efforts at sustaining inter religious harmony. He assured Moslems and Christians in the state of equal platforms, opportunities and enabling security environment that will enable them practice their faith unhindered, without fear and molestation.
Onoja urged the adherents of the two major religions in the state to be tolerant of each other, love one another and show understanding.
He described the mammoth crowd that graced the occasion as a sign that the Administrator has become a rallying point in Omala.
Earlier in his remarks, Hon Ibrahim Aboh, said the building of the Church and Mosque was aimed at unifying the adherents of major religion.
He disclosed that his administration saw the need to key into the efforts of Gov Yahaya Bello towards inter religious harmony.
