The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Kogi chapter, has commiserated with Gov. Yahaya Bello over the death of his sister, Hajia Rabiat Bello, who died on Monday night from a protracted illness at the age of 59.

A statement by NMA Chairman in Kogi, Dr Kabiru Zubair, on Friday in Lokoja, expressed their heartfelt condolences to the governor and his entire family over the sudden demise of their beloved sister.

”The entire members of NMA Kogi State wishes to express her heartfelt condolence to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and his entire family over the sudden demise of his beloved sister Hajjia Rabiat Bello who’s untimely death occurred 5 days ago after an illness.

”The NMA prayed with His Excellency and his entire family that the Almighty Allah grant her departed soul Aljannatul Firdausi.

”May He grant all the family she left behind the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, especially the mother of His Excellency, Hajjia Hawa Bello who is still very much alive and well.

”The wise counsel of Hajjia Rabiat Bello would have impacted positively on governance in the State at this time that His Excellency is getting ready to commence his second term in Office.

”However, no mortal can question the time and place that the Almighty Allah has chosen to take the soul of his servants.

”Truly, Allah knows best. May her departed soul rest in Aljannatul Firdausi. Ameen,” he said.
