The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has commenced sensitization programme aimed at strengthening lottery activities across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Declaring the event open in Abuja on Thursday, Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, revealed that NLTF has successfully carried out several intervention projects across the country funded by the percentage of betting proceeds remitted to the government.
He emphasized that these proceeds are used for GOOD CAUSES across the country.
He cautioned Nigerians not to be carried away by the benefits of gaming alone but rather to engage in lottery business responsibly.
He assured that NLTF will continue to utilize the remittances to implement GOOD CAUSES that will support the downtrodden.
In a statement, Arowolo Solomon Alaba, Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary on Media and Corporate Communications, said the sensitization marked the beginning of a nationwide campaign.
“The initiative aims to promote responsible gaming practices and raise awareness about the positive impact of lottery proceeds on Nigerian communities.
“NLTF’s efforts seek to ensure that the benefits of lottery gaming are maximized for GOOD CAUSES, while minimizing its potential negative consequences. Nigerians can contribute to the betterment of their communities,” he said.
