In Nigeria, the search for a savior is a never-ending quest. Year after year, Nigerians pin their hopes on political messiahs, believing each new leader will be the one to rescue the nation from its woes. Yet, time and again, the cycle repeats: promises are made, trust is given, and disappointment follows.
From military regimes to democratic governments, the story remains the same. Citizens rally behind charismatic figures, hoping for change, only to find themselves stuck with leaders who prioritize personal gain over public good.
The question lingers: when will Nigerians learn that the real power lies not in waiting for a messiah, but in holding leaders accountable and demanding better governance?
Until then, the hunt continues, and the nation remains trapped in a cycle of hope and despair.
