Nicodemus Mawedo Condoles Attah Igala Over Sister’s Death

The CEO Nick Global Foundation, a non governmental organization, Comrade Joseph Nicodemus Mawedo, has expresis sadness over the death of Iye Akwuma Attah Igala, late Mallama Maimunat Opaluwa.

In a statement issued on Monday, Mawedo extended his heartfelt condolences to the paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Alaji Mathew Opaluwa over Mallama Opaluwa-Sani and her granddaughter’s demise.

Comrade Mawedo, initiator of Kogi Let the Truth be Told initiative, described the deaths as tragic.

“The death of our grand ma, Akwuma Attah Igala, was a loss to the entire Igala Kingdom.

“I urge everyone to be strong and ask God to console the family left.

“May the land not record that kind of tragic incident ever again,” he said. 

Mr Mawedo charged security agencies to wake up to their responsibilities, investigate the alleged arson and bring the perpetrators of the crime to book.

“This barbaric act must not go under the carpet as usual. We have heard of so many crime committed, statements issued but never resolved.

“It is with a deep pain in his heart that he condole with our father, HRM, Alaji Mathew Opaluwa and the royal family over the deaths of his sister and her granddaughter, whose lives were taken in unexplainable way.

“I also commiserate with the entire people of Igala Kingdom at this time because this is a loss to the entire igala race and Kogi state at large.

“I call on security agencies to investigate the alleged arson and bring the perpetrators of this act to book so that it would serve as a deterrent to others. Such acts of strange must be discouraged in our the land.”
