Kogi State Head of Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi, has commended the civil servants for their dedication and selflessness in serving the state and urged them to strive for excellence in their duties and responsibilities.

In a statement made available to reporters in Lokoja on Wednesday, Dr. Evinemi urged the people of the state to welcome the new year with renewed hope and optimism for a better future.

“As we bid farewell to the outgoing year and welcome a new one, I am filled with hope and optimism for the future of our dear state.

“The past year has been marked by significant achievements and challenges, but through it all, we have remained resilient and committed to the progress of Kogi State.

“As we enter the new year, I urge all to reflect on our individual and collective roles in building a better future for ourselves, our children, and our communities,” he said.

He appealed to the people of the state to recommit themselves to the values of hard work, integrity, and service that have always defined them as a people.

He expressed gratitude to the state governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo for prioritising the welfare of civil servants, noting that the workers would work hard to reciprocate his kind gestures.

“To our citizens, I assure you that the Kogi State Government remains committed to providing quality services, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the welfare and security of all the citizens.”

“As we celebrate the dawn of a new year, let us pray for peace, prosperity, and progress in Kogi State,” Dr. Evinemi added.
