New Direction Budget: Gov Bello Signs N174. 8b Appropriation Bill Into Law

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Wednesday signed into law, the N174.8 billion 2017 state’s appropriation bill as passed by the State House of Assembly.

The appropriation bill which has an estimated recurrent revenue of 81.6 billion and capital receipt of N93.1billion, is about N75 billion higher than that of last year.

While signing the budget in to law, Governor Bello commended the state Assembly for speedy consideration and passage of the appropriation bill, assuring that the budget will be effectively implemented.

The governor appealed to people of the state to pay their taxes to enable the government implement the budget.

According to him, the construction of the Kogi Revenue House was to “invigorate rapid and aggressive revenue drive that could finance the budget”
