The Kogi State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, has called on the People of the state to distance themselves from the All Progressive Congress led administration in the State.
In a statement issued in Lokoja, signed by Director Research and Documentation of the Party, Dickson Achadu, described the last one year administration of the APC in the state as one characterize by in fighting, lack of accountability and brazen wickedness against the state workers.
The statement lamented that unlike in the past, what obtains under the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration is an unending fight between the executive and the party in the state.
While noting that the State in the last one year has accrued so much with nothing to show for it, described the recent arranged celebration of its one year in office as another aspect of waste, that has plunged the state into more debt it can manage.
The PDP sympathized with Kogi workers who in the midst of naked hardship the have been subjected to by the APC led administration, the Administration preferred to plant flowers in the dry season than have the workforce enjoy a new lease of life.
The PDP condemned in strong terms the over one year screening exercise of Kogi State workers, leading to deaths and loss of jobs of seventy percent of the state’s workforce.
The statement urged the people of the state to retrace their steps and return to the PDP, noting that it has shown that while in government the PDP governed with human face, with every segment of the state carried along in the scheme of things.
The PDP described the last one year as a wasted year, with the state taken back to the dark days of the military, when emperors rule in autocratic manner.
The PDP described the crisis rocking the state APC as nemesis catching up with it for forcefully taking what does not belong to it in the last Kogi Governorship election, affirmed that the State still remains a PDP state.
