Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Bello, said yesterday that his men arrested two suspected drug dealers; Okechukwu Ibeagwani and Aliyu Momodu Bawa and seized 813.6 Kg of Indian hemp.
Bello, while parading the suspects, said the command will not relent in its efforts to ensure a drug free society.
He added that on May 11, 2014, operatives of NDLEA attached to Idah area in collaboration the Nigerian Navy raided a farm at the Government Reserve Area between Ibaji and Igalamela Local Government Area and arrested Okechukwu Ibeagwani with 49 sacks of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
He added that on May 17, the command during a patrol along Okene-Auchi road, intercepted a white Nissan vehicle with registration number; Lagos EW 106 KRD, and that during the search, Aliyu Momodu Bawa was arrested with five parcels of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
