The Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Ndamodu Ali, has tasked stakeholders in local administration on collaboration to enable councils deliver dividends of democracy to their people.
In the statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Akpata Jordan, in Lokoja yesterday, the commissioner made the call during his inaugural meeting with the newly elected chairmen and other stakeholders in councils’ administration.
According to him, local government is critical to people at the grassroots and required efficient service delivery. He maintained that government must work towards improving the living standard of the people.
Ndamodu urged the chairmen to be prudent and transparent in the management of their councils’ resources.
