The Executive Vice Chairman of Kabba-Bunu local government council, Hon Bimpe Alfred has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for providing the platform for women participation in politics and leadership.
In a statement issued in Kabba on Tuesday, the Council Vice Chairman congratulated Bello on the award bestowed on him by the National Council of Women Societies of Nigeria (NCWS) as the most gender sensitive governor in Nigeria.
She noted that award did not come as a surprise to her bearing in mind Governor Bello’s meritorious service to the state and the women folk.
She said Nigerian women will remain eternally grateful to the Kogi state governor.
NCWS, at a colourful event in Lokoja, decorated Governor Bello as a ‘Goodwill Ambassador of Nigeria Women’.
