…Audu is a changed man

The National Chairman of Network for Change and Good Governance (NCGG), Comrade Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Central Bank Governor to withhold the bailout funds approved for Kogi state.

Atumeyi urged Buhari to hold on to the funds as there is no guarantee that the current administration will not use it for election purposes.

“Buhari and CBN must not toy with the anger of Kogites. In, the interest of Kogites, not Wada’s interest, please keep the money until the elections are over”, he said.

Atumeyi and the NCGG also apologized to Kogites for her earlier call on electorates to support Wada.

“We are very sorry and wish to tender our unreserved apology to Kogites for our earlier call on them to support Wada. The call was uninformed but after going round the state and interacting with people, we have come to a conclusion that there is need for change in Kogi state”

“For those who know Lagos very well, Lokoja, Kogi state capital, is just like Ajegunle. We cannot continue like this. We are calling on Kogites to support All Progressive Congress APC and Prince Abubakar Audu in the coming elections”

“When Audu was governor, monthly allocation was just 350million Naira and all the money he got in his 4 years in office was just 15billion Naira yet he built a university and other big projects”

“NCGG is one of the groups that formed APC in Nigeria. We met with most of the leaders during the formation of the party. Leaders like Shekarau, Kwakwanso, Ali Modu Sherrif, Timipre Sylva among many others”

Atumeyi called on Ebiras not be spoilers in the Audu project. He counseled that Ebiras will be considered when other appointments like Board membership and ambassadorial postings are being made.

On the perceived character flaw of Audu, he stated that Audu is now a changed man.

“I met with Audu in his residence recently and we discussed. Audu told me he is not coming to arrest anyone, he assured me that he will not insult anyone or act with pride. Audu is coming back just to transform Kogi state”
