The Director General Media and Publicity to Kogi State Governor, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo has accused the Kogi Central senatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Barr. Natasha Akpoti of arming youths in her clan.

Fanwo made this known while featuring on Ijeoma Osamor’s programme on AIT, Democracy on Sunday.

He stated that electorate in Kogi Central senatorial district will not support a woman who do not have a proper family.

“The point she did not understand is the culture of where she comes from. The place is predominantly made up of Muslims and they don’t usually support women that do not have what I call a proper family.

“If they are supporting a woman, she must conform to some Islamic qualifications, and in her case, she has not been able to do that.

“Again, I am putting it straight to Natasha that she has been arming youths in her clan to rise against people of the other party. You cannot come on a national television to turn it against the governor that has been promoting peace and security in the state,” he said.

The TV host, Ijeoma querried Fanwo’s submission asking if elections are based on religion and gender.

He responded, saying; “There are places where religion play a prominent role in deciding who wins election.”

Natasha, who featured on the programme alongside a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state of engaging in political violence.

She recalled how one of her supporters, Ojo Enesi was murdered in cold blood by thugs loyal to Governor Yahaya Bello.
