A new development has unfolded in the ongoing controversy surrounding Sandra Duru, as another whistleblower has come forward with more evidence to refute the pro-Akpabio activist’s allegations against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Recall Journalist Francess Olisa Ogbonnaya had earlier alleged that Sandra Duru attempted to hire her to produce a voiceover that would damage Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s reputation.
Ogbonnaya claimed that Duru provided her with audio recordings and a script containing defamatory content.

Ogbonnaya disputes Duru’s claims about Senator Natasha’s stance on sexual harassment, stating that the audio recordings she received did not suggest that the senator denied being sexually harassed. Instead, Senator Natasha discussed instances of harassment.
“In the audios she sent to me, I never heard where the Senator said there was no case of sexual harassment, I can furnish you with the full audio, the Senator never mention anything like that”, he said.
In latest development, another whistleblower who goes by the name Maazi Obinna, confirmed that Sandra Duru was sponsored to defame the Kogi senator following her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“I used to be a strong advocate of good governance in Imo. I spoke against the then government of Rochas Okorocha. Sandra reached out to me because I was one of the popular voices in the state that spoke against the government. It was within that period that she (Sandra) accused the then-deputy governor of Imo (Prince Eze Madumere) of homosexuality, which later turned out to be false. This was what brought us together then.
“On the 19th of April, she sent me N100k. After sending the money, she now told me that she wanted me to do a job for her. She told me to get a video editor and musician for a documentary she was working on. My videographer also got a person who did voiceover for the documentary,” he narrated.
He further said the pro-Akpabio activist planned to use the said documentary to defame Senator Natasha while accusing her of playing the devil’s advocate in the ongoing sexual harassment saga.
He also said the self-styled activist forwarded audio recordings of Senator Natasha to him, adding that there was no time in the audio did the lawmaker backtrack her sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President.
This new testimony supports Ogbonnaya’s earlier claims that Duru attempted to hire her to produce a voiceover that would damage Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s reputation. The ongoing saga continues to unfold, with more evidence coming to light.
On the allegation that the Senator plotted to establish the Yoruba-led federal government, Ogbonnaya said it was all made up by Sandra.
“In the audios she sent to me, the Senator did not mention at any point that the Yoruba led federal government will not stand. These are some of the things that made me to come out and do this. Such a statement is treasonable, you are no longer saying the truth. I asked, Did you want this woman to be killed or arrested or what?”.
