NANNM Pay Working Visit to CMD Kogi Hospital Mgt Board

The Chief Medical Director, Kogi State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Usman Zakari has called for Inter-Professional collaboration among all cadres of health care workers in the state.
He made the call when members of the State Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwifes paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Lokoja.
While appreciating the union for the vote of confidence passed on him, the CMD  noted that under the watch of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello the Health Sector  will witness a shift in paradigm  and health intervention across all secondary health facilities in the state.
In his response to the issues raised by the union, Dr. Zakari revealed that the management of the Health Management Board has taken measures to ensure that all cases regarding  omission of staff names are cleared, he stressed that no genuine worker will be deprived of his/her salary.
On shortage of Nursing manpower, the Chief Medical Director revealed that once the ongoing recruitment process of health care workers is completed, Health care personnel will be deployed to facilities where their services are needed.
Dr. Zakari used the medium to call for value reorientation, introspection and attitudinal change among staff, stressing that the management of the Hospitals Management Board is working assiduously to restore confidence in  health facilities, increase uptake of services and improve health care delivery in all secondary health care facilities.
In his address, the State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses, Comrade Ochu Samuel used the medium to express appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bell for approving the 100% CONHESS for its members starting in January 2018.
The Director of Nursing Services, Kogi State Hospitals Management Board, Comrade Enejiyon Andrew prayed to God for grace and wisdom to ensure that all the objectives of the visit are translated to reality.
