Comrade Ali Maiyaki has emerge President, National Association of Lokoja Local Government Students (NALLGS).
Announcing the result 2019, the Chairman, 2019 NALLGS Election Committee, Umar Dan’Assabe Muhammed declared Maiyaki duly elected as president of the student body.
“The NALLGS election committee 2019, is pleased to announce the list of new Executive of NALLGS who were duly elected at the general elective congress which took place on the 6th of January, 2019 in Lokoja.
“A number of students indicated interests for various positions in the association and the screening process was based on the criteria set in the constitution of the body.
“The election was conducted in a free, fair and credible manner with all aspirants given a level playing ground to operate. The election was conducted under the supervision of the election committee, at the presence of NALLGS stakeholders and other independent observers. With a total of 38 delegates drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country who voted for a total number of 14 aspirants vying for various positions in the association.
“At the end of voting, Comrade Ali Maiyaki emerged as the President, while Amina Yusuf was elected as Vice President and Ali Abdullahi as Secretary respectively.
“Others include, Aishat Nayashi, Assistant Secretary; Mohammed Umar, Treasurer; Mohammed Ismail, PRO; Yahaya M. Mala, Financial Secretary; Garba Husseini, D. S. O; Abbas Yahaya Auditor,” he said.
All elected candidates has since received the oath of office immediately after the election.
