PRESS STATEMENT
MY DEFECTION TO APC: A HARD DECISION TO TAKE, BUT PREDICATED ON ACTUALIZING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR YAGBA-EAST CONSTITUENCY.
I thought it imperative to correct some insinuations and misconceptions since I defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Without an iota of doubt, I was a very committed party man and 100% loyal to the goals and objectives of the party that brought me to limelight politically.
But in view of the lingering impasse and division within and among Party Leaders and Stakeholders in PDP, I consequently defected to All Progressives Congress, APC which incidentally is the ruling party in Kogi State.
After consulting extensively with my family, Party Leaders, Stakeholders, Market Women, Elders, Youths of the peace-loving People of Yagba-East State Constituency, I decided to team up with the mainstream Governance of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, with a view to facilitating development projects to our people and coupled with the reality that ongoing projects are been executed in Yagba East by the State Government.
Personally, I have no grudges with the PDP party faithfuls and supporters, but I considered the overall interest of our people well and above selfish gains, which culminated into my defection to APC.
Logically, I came to the realization that I cannot be outside and know what is going on within. I am positive that my teaming up with the New Direction Agenda of this Administration, our people will benefit immensely, in terms of infrastructural facilities which are worryingly non- existent in our Constituency.
I enjoin our people to pray along with me as I take a detour.
I thank the PDP family for giving me their love, support and guidance during my political sojourn with the Party; I promise that nothing will change our relationship on the aims and objectives of Yagba East Development.
