The well publicised suspension of the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Yakubu Murtala Ajaka has been described as “an unholy lie”.
A statement issued in the early hours of Friday by the spokesperson of Muri Network, Adams Yusuf, said the ‘fake suspension letter’ in circulation is nothing but a huge joke promoted by some enemies of the state.
He stated that Murtala, a Kogi governorship aspirant, remains a committed member of APC and is unshaken by the purported suspension.
“We hereby state with authority that the Deputy National Publicity of the APC Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka was never and has never been suspended from the party in ward 1 Ajaka LGA.
“It is foolery to think or, guesswork the mind of the people by their imaginative letter to suspend a man who has worked tirelessly in giving Kogi APC a round victory. Ajaka is a tireless campaigner and mobilizer for the APC that deserves to be supported in taking Kogi State to a greater height.
“The fake suspension letter, purportedly signed by a deceased party member from Ajaka ward 1, is dead on arrival.
“The driving symptoms of those behind the fake suspension letter going around on social media is the belief that; with the presence of the deputy national publicity secretary of the APC, Mr. Murtala Ajaka, in the race for 2023 gubernatorial election, their ambition becomes dead on arrival.
“The desperation and the fear of Murtala Ajaka have become so glaring in the camp of the enemy of Kogi APC. There is an urgent need for psychotherapy to be carried out on their mental health,” the statement read in part.
Muri Network described Murtala Ajaka as a true party man and a great supporter of a united party in the state, urging APC members to remain focused and concentrate on the task ahead.
The Network urged the general public and members of the party to disregard the information as it is a blatant lie.
