No fewer than 500 communities and over 300,000 thousands households have pledged their desires and readiness to reelect President Muhammadu Buhari and all other All Progressive Congress party (APC) candidates in the Saturday 16th February 2019 polls.
The people of these communities cited the magnanimity and humanitarian kindness of the wife of Kogi State governor, Mrs Rashida Bello who visited each of the communities during a door to door campaign for the President in the three senatorial district of the state as reason for their decision.
The communities members who trooped out in their large numbers were full of praises for the governor’s wife for coming to identify with them saying that her visit is the first time in the history where the wife of a seating governor would come down to the villages and communities to interact with them and provides succour for them.
They were equally delighted that her coming was not only for election purpose as her impact has been felt through her kind gesture of the health intervention programmes which is reaching out directly to the poor and vulnerable people in their communities.
The people who pledged that all their votes would be cast for APC from head to toe said that the reason for taking the unanimous decision is to show their appreciation for the good work of the APC led administration in the state for the past three years. They were all emphatic that the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration has being a huge blessings to them both in terms of health care delivery and socio-economic upliftment.
They specially prayed for the governor’s wife for long life and better days in office and for God to grant her husband another tenure in office to consolidate on the good works he has been doing for them.
Mrs Rashida Bello, on a personal initiative few weeks ago, embarked on a door to door campaign for President Buhari’s reelection and electoral victory of all other APC candidates to add as impetus to the successful campaign of the party across the state.
Some of the communities visited by the governor’s wife and her team are Ganaja village, Giddan Bassa, Giriyan, Iyara, Ayetoro Gveda, Ejiba, Idah, Olamaboro and many others.
