Miliki Applauds Radio Kogi Director General’s First Year in Office

Executive Director of Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR), Comrade Idris Miliki Abdul, has praised the Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Kogi), Hajia Yussuf Nana Hauwa, for her the impactful service since she assumed office exactly one year ago.

In a statement issued in Lokoja on Wednesday, Miliki described the Director General as highly professional media pacesetter.

He called on Kogi state government to invest in media institutions in the state through acquisition of modern equipment, infrastructural development and continuous training for better service delivery.

“Congratulations to a wonderful woman, a highly professional and accessible administrator. The appointment of Hajia Nana Yussuf as the Director General of Radio Kogi has proven to be a successful one in the last one year.

“We rejoice with you on your one year anniversary and wish you more successful years ahead.

“We urge the state government to raise the current level of support to the various media practitioners and their various institutions through substantial monthly subventions.

“The media are the mirrors of any society, through which citizens can understand what the government is doing. Also, the government can understand the feelings of the people through the media,” he said.
