The initiator of Ododo Vanguard, Ogori-Magongo local government Area, Meka Silvanus Adesina, an international businessman and a philanthropist, led the group on Sallah visit to the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Usman Ododo in Okene.
Adesina said the group appreciate the governor for the successes he has recorded within the short time in office.
While also appreciating the love Governor Ododo has shown to Ogori-Magongo local government, Adesina thanked the governor for being magnanimous in victory.
Speaking, Governor Ahmed Ododo appreciated the yearning and unifying qualities of Meka Adesina, urging him not to relent in his effort in attracting development to the people of Ogori-Magongo local government.
Speaking further, Governor Ododo admonished Ogori and Magongo to work in unison with the state government in order to attract development to the land, describing the cordial relationship that exist between him and the local government as an opportunity to mend the differences that there might have been.
The group used the occasion to present some of the pressing needs of the local government to the governor, which includes; improve standard of public schools, road rehabilitation, security, women empowerment among others.
Ododo vanguard of Ogori-Magongo local government was initiated to agitate for good governance, attract development to the state and also drum support for the government of Governor Ododo.
