‘Media: Making Democracy Work’ Lecture Holds Tomorrow

A public lecture for working journalists will hold tomorrow at the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) press centre, Lokoja.

The public lecture on ‘Media: Making Democracy Work’ will be presented by a seasoned media expert, Austin Maho.

The public lecture is one among the series of lectures marking the 2016 NUJ Press Week.

In a statement issued by Abu Michael, Assistant Secretary of the press week committee, NUJ urged all working Journalists in the state to be in attendance, as the lecture is geared at enhancing capacity of practitioners in an Advanced and Technology driven Media industry.

Meanwhile, the grand finale of the 2016 press week which would feature the induction of Governor Yahaya Bello, as the Grand Patron of the state NUJ will come up on Tuesday, 29th November, 2016 at the Reverton Hotel, under the Chairmanship  of Prof. S.I. Useni, dean school of Management Sciences, Kogi State university.

The Statement said some individuals within and outside the state will be recognized at the event, while a special magazine, titled New Direction will also be unveiled.

The program for the grand finale according to the statement will begin at ten o’clock in the morning, urged, media Executives, practitioners and invited guests to be prompt and in attendance.
