MD Eseyin Visits KSU, Advocates Student-Management Synergy

The Special Adviser Youth Empowerment, Sports and Students Affairs, Comrade M.D. Eseyin has called for synergy between government, students, management of the tertiary institutions in the state.

He made the call during a visit to the office the Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyigba, Prof M.S. Abdulkadir.

Eseyin, who was on sensitisation and familiarisation tour on tertiary institutions across the state, assured the Vice Chancellor that welfare, empowerment and education is a pivotal agenda of the new direction blueprint of the present administration.

“We believe that when adequate education and sensitisation is given to the youths of this state, they are better empowered and equipped to take leadership role in the society”, he said.

“His Excellency in his youth-friendly and pragmatic approach has mandated us to go round the tertiary institutions within the state to collect and collate issues relating to payment of bursary allowance and others”, he added.

The Vice Chancellor described the sensitization tour as the first of its kind and called for the sustainability of the visits as it will go a long way in harmonising, to enable the Students key into the mandate and programme of government.

He also commended the Governor for his political will to carry out the staff screening exercise, aimed at sanitising the salary structure of the state.

Also speaking, the Dean Students Affairs of the institution, Dr Usman Ogbo applauded the present administration for its effort to carry everyone along. He counseled that everyone must put hands together to support the present administration.

Dr Ogbo also called the attention of the state government to support the call for education summit in the state, saying it would go a long way in educating the students and their parents.
