The Olu of Oworo Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba Muhammad Bayerohi has described the House of Assembly candidate of Labour Party for Lokoja I constituency, Queen Habeebat Aliyu as a true daughter of his kingdom.
The monarch made this known while playing host to Queen Habeebat in his palace on Saturday.
He prayed that God will make Habeebat a lioness in the State Assembly chamber.
Habeebah was in his palace to seek for his fatherly prayers, blessings and formally inform him of her plans to be on the ballot sheet come 2nd of March 2019.
Oba Bayerohi said Habeeba is a source of pride to him to see one of his daughters growing political feathers are widening to all parts of the constituency.
“You are welcome home my daughter, your coming is a mark of respect and honour. May you be a lioness of the state chambers. I bless you as a father.
“God, this your servant, bless and make a shining light even as we hope to see her at the Kogi State Assembly. May she never be disgraced or disappoint us while at the state assembly. We wish you a huge success, my daughter,” he prayed.
He extolled Queen Habeeba describing her as a role model to many young ladies who is worthy to be emulated.
“Having come from and brought up in a humble background, you have grown up to a honourable stage, but your hard work made you a successful woman, please keep making us proud.”
Habeeba also visited Labour Party ward leaders and had fruitful discussions with them.
The Ward chairmen promised Habebah total support.
The Queen Habeeba Campaign Director, Abdullateef Abdulkadir Osori, opined that Queen Habeeba is really a good candidate who believes in fair play and justice to all.
He stated that she is most qualified to work along with for the purpose of developing Lokoja I constituency.
“I bring to you a woman with leadership exemplified qualities. I bring to you a mother who is compassionate enough to attend to your problems and I bring to you your daughter who is here to tell you she is out to contest the Lokoja I constituency Assembly seat.
“Queen Habeeba, as you know, has done a lot to develop our communities, so we have no doubt in her ingenuity to represent us well at the State Assembly,” Osori said.
Responding, Habeeba stated that: “I am here as your daughter to formally tell you I am running for the House of Assembly seat. I am your sister who most of you know to well, I am begging you to support me in this project. It is our collective work and I will make sure I bring good things to our people. I am assuring that I will never disappoint you.”
