The daughter of Sayyida Bilkis Niasse, Her Eminence, Sayyida Rahmatullah Ibrahim Niasse has described the senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Abubakar Ohere, as a strong pillar in the Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse family.
She made this known during the annual international maulud parade of the erudite Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse in Okene, Kogi state.
Sayyida commended Ohere for deeming it fit to grace the occasion despite his tight schedule, noting that the former Works Commissioner is a proud member of the fold.
“Engr Ohere is our own, he will always earn our maximum support in his bid to become the next Senator representing the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial district,” she said.
She prayed that Allah never forsake their open and secret prayers for him.
Ohere, who graced the occasion in the entourage of Governor Yahaya Bello to celebrate with the Tijaniyya Muslims, noted the enormous blessings and achievements recorded by the host community, Ebiraland, since the inception of the annual event.
He prayed for the soul of Sayyida Bilkis Niasse, the only Nigerian wife of Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse, for bringing the inestimable event to Ebiraland.
Ohere commended her children and all the organizing committees for keeping up the tempo in sustaining the all important programme which has not only brought to bear the enduring peace and progress to Ebiraland, but also improved the local economy of the state through its accompanying international trade fair, to the benefit of the people.
The Sheikh of Ebiraland, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai Shuaib who had earlier opened the floor with prayers, also spoke in same vein and urged all Muslims across the state to support the good projects of Governor Yahaya Bello administration.
He said, the choice of Engr Ohere as the APC flag bearer is one of the best decisions made by the Governor.
