he demonstration of an outright abnegation of the ‘cleared’ list of local government workers escalated to Ajaka, the headquarters of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area today.
Protesters in their astronomical numbers trooped out with placards with different inscriptions to press home their demand for immediate re-evaluation of the ‘cleared’ list.
The leader of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in the area, Comr Tahirudeen Abdullahi in his speech appealed to the state government to immediately ordered the screening committee to go into urgent re-evaluation of the screening list for the interest of the genuine retrenched workers.
In the same vein, the Union leader stated that, the genuine workers of the local government are fully in support of the retrenchment of ghost workers and those that are involved in other fraudulent deals.
