We have observed with anxiety the rising and alarming incidence of electoral violence in Kogi East and noted that this anti social activities are being carried out by our brothers who have sworn to give the Igala nation bad name in the comity of nations. This is completely unacceptable.

The violence, intimidation killings and destruction of properties in Kogi East before and during the Presidential and National Assembly elections  must not repeat it self tomorrow, March 9.

Igala nation became very popular during this election period and was on news at both the local and National channels not for any good reason but for an act of violence perpetuated by sons of Igala Kingdom.

We must all understand that no Nation progresses where there is no peace and peace is what is eluding Igala Nation gradually. This has evidently affected economic activities of our zones as it is scaring investors away.

You must be reminded that anyone who carries weapons with the intention of causing violence stand the risk of the CURSE of Atta (Agaba’idu) down to his generations unborn.

Come out tomorrow and cast your votes in peace with your PVCs and go back to your homes in peace. Do not foment any kind of trouble.

Cast your votes in peace and stay out of trouble. We will not lose anybody in this Election by the special Grace of God.

Signed:
Ukwenya Christopher (PiC)
Maji Isah (Clerk of Council)
