‘Made in Kogi’ International Trade Fair to Hold November

Kogi state government and the Kogi State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KOCCIMA) has commenced preparation for hosting an international trade fair in Lokoja, the state capital.

The international trade and business event scheduled for the first week of November 2020 is being organized to show case and promote the abundant commercial resources in the state.

The State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo who is chairing the trade fair planing committee said Kogi is ripe for the as it will go a long way in promoting the state economy by attracting investors to the state.

Fanwo who made this known in Lokoja on Tuesday when he played host to leaders of KOCCIMA led by her Deputy President I, Abdullahi Ibrahim Victor.

According to him, “the strength of Kogi State is not limited to mineral resources and geographical location, but also in innovation, which also really needs marketing and exposure.”

Fanwo said the idea is welcomed and assured KOCCIMA of the support of his ministry and that of the state government as it is in-line with the economic blueprint of Governor Yahaya Bello to revive Kogi state.

“It is timely now that all organizations and government are working hard to revive economic hardships caused by Covid-19. The information and communications ministry will in few days launch the Kogi State Business Directory.”

The Chambers state president, Mr Victor Abdul said all the needed preparations are in place for the takeoff of the trade fair.

KOCIMMA presented a proposal seeking partnership with the state-owned The Graphics Newspaper for the maiden ‘Made in Kogi’ Trade Fair 2020.
