Passengers had to go through hell on Sunday morning at the loading bay of the Kogi state government owned transport company, Confluence Express has travelers were forced to disembark from the buses by protesting workers.

Confluence Express attracts lots of travelers because their buses plies different routes across the country from on point – their loading bay in front of European Cemetery in the heart of Lokoja, Kogi state capital.

This melee this morning caused travelers unnecessary embarrassment as protesting drivers locked the gate of the park and made all passengers on board Confluence Express buses to alight. The angry drivers claimed they were protesting because of neglect and mismanagement.

Other commercial vehicles, aside the ones belonging to Kogi government, were allowed to operate. Transport vehicles belonging to Plateau Riders and Kwara Express were not allowed to load passengers without interference.

Over a hundred stranded passengers were left to look for late alternatives after the embarrassing scenario. I was lucky to board an old bus going to Lagos after wasting hours.
