The Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, has called for protection of the environment for future generations.
He made the call in his address at an event organised by the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) to commemorate the 2025 World Environmental Day.
The Council Chairman pledged to work with relevant authorities to prioritize sustainable practices and ensure responsible waste management.
He urged individuals and stakeholders to join hands with government at all levels to work towards, reducing pollution and waste, conserving natural resources and protecting biodiversity.

The 2025 edition of World Environment Day is focused on putting an end to plastic pollution and bring to an end decades of plastic pollution that has seeped into every corner of the world, leaching into the water we drink, into the food we eat, and our bodies.
