Lokoja-Kogi Bye Election: Investigate Sharing of N300,000 Per Polling Units by APC – PDP Tells EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been asked to audit the N300,000 and a Hiace Bus the All Progressives Congress (APC) is sharing to polling units in Lokoja LGA ahead the forthcoming Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency bye-election slated for Saturday, August 11.

Kabiru Mohammed, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a press statement said the state government is owing workers and pensioners for over twenty months in some instance, yet has the temerity to be sharing state resources.

The PDP pointed out that the outright monetization of the forthcoming bye-election where the Chief of Staff and other APC members like Jibril Isah Echocho in Ward B, the Finance Commissioner in Ward C, Smart Adeyemi in Ward D, Karaku in Gegu and the APC State Chairman in Felele are all sharing money when salaries are been owed workers in the state.

The PDP called on its members to hold and handover people who are alien to their wards and who are bound to infiltrate their wards during the election to security agencies.

The PDP called on the EFCC to beam its searchlight on the ongoing spending by the APC in the bye-election, lamented the use of money by the present administration in the state.

The opposition party called on the people of Lokoja-Kogi federal constituency to know that the world is watching her actions, said their resoluteness would speak volume of their preparedness to effect change in 2019.

The PDP urged the electorates not to be deceived by the promises been made to them by the APC, pointing out that their resoluteness would make many people who died by reasons of bad governance under Gov. Bello, rest in peace.

The PDP called on security agencies to go after APC sponsored agents who have been trained to buy votes during the bye-election.
