By Suleiman Kinami.

Long ago, before the 2014 clash between Abugi in Kupa district, we heard of the planned time table of the communities to unleash terror and  it is as follows 1. Miza, 2. Abugi, 3. Kuchalu, 4. Tsanawa, 5.  Kinami, 6. Kapu, 7. Karagi, 8. Kochi, 9. Lagan, etc.
In any rumours, they said there most be an iota of truth. Most of the above mentioned communities have witnessed Headsmen clashed in the recent past and it is now the turn of Kinami but let me quickly appreciate the efforts of some personalities here with respect to interventions between Fulani’s and Kinami community, the Lokoja LG Administrator, the Assembly member Lokoja II state constituency, the national organizing secretary of MIYETI ALLAH, the security agents, the traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders, may Allah reward you all.
The Issue On Ground Now
It is now raining season and our major occupation is farming and fishing, the headsmen was said to have resolved to cut off all the farmers “ONE HAND EACH” and the have started implementing the plan already.
Early last month, a lady from Kinami by name Gambo Mohammed a house wife was going to Lagan to attend a wedding ceremony, she was attacked and one her hand was badly injured, she is still on treatment and just last Saturday, Ismaila Sule who was returning from fishing has his hand deeply cut by a Fulani boy who’s name was given as Abu Kirowa and he now on treatment too.
Let me use this opportunity to call on all well meaning leaders, representatives at all levels to come to our aid and save the people of Kinami and other communities.
Let also quickly draw the attention of Lokoja LG administrator to the abandoned “POLICE STATION PROTECT IN ABUGI”, the state if completed and put to use it with go a long way in providing security for our Kupa and Eggan districts with reasonable man power deployed to the area.
For the main time, the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State command should as a matter of urgency liaise with his counterpart from Niger State been closed to our people because of the nature and distance from our headquarters here. It only cost one N200 to be in Niger State from out area while it cost about N3,000 to get down to our own headquarters (Lokoja).
I pray that my appeal will receive prompt attention and in no distant time, our people will see positive actions to provide adequate security for them.
