Association of Local Government Secretaries of Nigeria, Kogi state chapter, on Tuesday congratulated Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman on his reappointment as the Rector of Kogi state Polytechnic (KSP) Lokoja.
The Association, in a statement signed by her Secretary, Mr. Matthew James Omeiza said Prof Ogbo’s reappointment was thoroughly deserved, adding that he had over the years proved his competence in the academia.
The Okehi Scribe said it was based on his professionalism and integrity that Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello deemed it fit to appoint Professor Usman Ogbo as the school Rector earlier and was reappointed by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to continue his good work in Kogi Polytechnic which has now transformed to one of the best citadel of learning in the world through his creativity.
“Professor Ogbo does not need any introduction in the academic world. He has distinguished himself in the service of the prestigious Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba over the years before he was appointed as the Rector and his leadership skills are not in doubt,” the association said.
The Association, while acknowledging the strides of the Prof Ogbo during his first tenure as Rector, expressed confidence that he would once again bring his wealth of experience to bear to build more upon the enviable legacies of the polytechnic community in the next five years.
“With Professor Ogbo at the helm of affair of our great citadel of learning, We are totally confident that KSP is destined for greater heights.
“We want to, on behalf of the people of Kogi State, congratulate him and wish him the very best throughout his tenure,” he said.
