Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Omala local government area of Kogi state on Wednesday took to the street to protest against the plan to impose Ibrahim Aboh as the chairmanship candidate of the party.

The protesters insisted that the people of Omala have rejected the aspiration of Aboh, who is the current Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matter in charge of the local government.

They accused the APC zonal chairman, Ahmed Attah, of turning Omala local government council to his automated teller machine (ATM) and wish to continue to milk the council with his plan to impose Aboh as APC candidate in the December 12 Kogi LG poll.

The protesters at the entrance of the local government in Abejukolo said the only problem of Omala people is Ibrahim Aboh and his boss, Ahmed Attah. They insisted that all stakeholders must respect the decision of the party executives that candidates for the poll must emerge through transparent primaries.
