Ahead of October 19 local government elections in Kogi state, Mrs Comfort Obaromi has been endorsed as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Odolu ward coucillorship seat.
Odolu ward and Kabba-Bunu local government executives as well as stakeholders arrived at the decision after a well attended meeting in Kabba on Monday.
The endorsement process began with screening of aspirants that signified interest in the position.
The screening committee, under the Chairmanship of Hon Gabriel Ojo, a former Special Adviser on Political Matters to the former Speaker, Kogi state House of Assembly, were presented with six aspirants. however, four aspirants out of six stepped down for Mrs Comfort Obaromi.
After the screening exercise, the leadership of the party in the Ward unanimously endorsed Mrs Obaromi as the sole candidate for the forthcoming primary election.
