A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer John Ibishagba has expressed delight at the large turnout of voters across Kabba-Bunu local government in the ongoing council elections.
Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote in Olle-Bunu around 11am on Saturday, Engr. Ibishagba said the exercise was largely peaceful, credible and transparent.
He commended Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for the arrangement put in place to ensure smooth electoral process.
According to him, the massive turnout was a attestation to the fact that Olle has now become the home of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the election which was the first since he joined APC few months ago witnessed professional conduct of KOSIEC ad-hoc staff and security agencies.
He noted that the massive support given to the party has clearly showed that Governor Usman Ododo is well accepted by the people of the State.
Engr. Ibishagba commended the people for being law abiding during the election, urging them to sustain the tempo in a bid to attract dividends of democracy to the community.
