People of Central Senatorial District of Kogi State have been tasked to work hard so as not to be left out in the effort to make the forth coming council polls a walk over in the state.
To this end they were tasked to vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forth coming council polls slated for 4th May 2013.
Yomi Awoniyi, Kogi State Deputy Governor gave the charge in his message at the Central Senatorial District campaign flag off rally for the forth coming council poll in Okene.
Awoniyi appealed to the people of the area not only turn out en-mass to vote massively for the PDP, he also called on them to protect and guide their votes.
The Deputy Governor who described Central as home of the PDP, urged members of the party to close ranks and deliver a hundred percent for the party.
Awoniyi described people of the Central as sincere, straightforward, courageous and stand by what they say, urged them to remain steadfast in their support before, during and after the 4th May, 2013 council election.
In his speech, Hassan Salawu, State Chairman of the PDP said efforts must be made to sustain the existing peace in the area, adding that voting massively for the party will guarantee peace and development.
Also speaking the Secretary to State Government, Prof Olugbemiro Jegede, commended the state government for its efforts at improving the well-being of people of the area assured of a clean sweep by the party in the coming council polls.
