LG Poll: Vote and Defend Your Votes, Awoniyi Charges Ijumu Electorates

The people of Ogidi in Ijumu Local Government area of kogi state have been told to vote and defend their vote in the forth coming Council polls slated for Saturday.

Kogi State Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi, gave the charge at a Peoples Democratic Party rally in Ogidi yesterday, charged the electorates to be law abiding.

While the election he noted will be peaceful,the election he added will also be conducted on the basis of one man, one vote.

Awoniyi, appealed to the youths not to allow themselves to be used, stated that politics should be seen for development and not for destruction.

He described Ijumu as home of the PDP, said the contest will be a contest between those who are in the majority and some few who are not patient to wait for God and the will of the people.

In his speech, Fehinti Dada, assured that the members are well sensitized on the need to turn out enmass and exercise their franchise, assuring that the party will have a clean sweep the forth coming election.

Also speaking Remi Odutola, PDP Candidate for Ijumu Local Government promised to deliver quality leadership if elected.

Provision of job, Women empowerment and an Agriculture revolution that will put food and provide additional income to the people will be vigorously pursued if elected.
