It has come to my attention the purported diversion of election materials meant for Kabba-Bunu LG election to an unknown destination.
Be that as it may, as a law- abiding citizen and in order not to jeopardize the political fortune of our party, I’m positive that whatever that transpired during the course of moving the electoral materials from Lokoja to Kabba and it’s eventual sudden diversion are logistic issues and hitches that can’t be divorced during election period.
As a consequence, I call on Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) as a matter of urgency to do the needful before the commencement of the local government election tomorrow.
As it is the norm, I expect the party to place the voters register in all the units in the 15 wards in Kabba- Bunu LGA.
Though late, it is on record that there was no public notice to recruit, sensitize or train the would – be Ad-hoc staffs for the election.
Also, there is no recognizable office of the electoral umpire in Kabba-Bunu LGA.
For me , all these are abnormalities that should not be allowed in a democratic dispensation.
I, therefore, implore the election umpire (SIEC) to be fair, just and equitable in their dealings with all political parties before, during and after the electionering process.
To our numerous supporters who have casted doubt on the credibility of the LG election slated for tomorrow, I implore you all to be calm, resolute and be law – abiding, because this journey is a no retreat, no surrender one.
Tomorrow, by 7am prompt, come out in your large numbers to cast your vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), candidate, Barrister Segun Modeyin.
To all Kabba-Bunu LG electorates, it is time to let your vote count and voice heard as we journey ahead to reposition Kabba-Bunu LGA to an enviable distinction.
Let us work together to make a difference.
