Let’s Work Together, Move Ijumu LG Forward – Caretaker Chairman Tells Council Staff

Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu local government area of Kogi state, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim, has promised to provide a peaceful atmosphere for development.

Haruna made the promise while addressing management and staff of the local government in Iyara on Tuesday.

He empathized the need for all and sundry to come together to move the area to a greater heights of peace and development.

The Caretaker Chairman expressed gratitude to both management and staff of the Council Area for the warm reception as well as the enthusiasm shown to support the vision of the new administration.

According to him, the importance of synergy among the workforce and the new appointees cannot be over emphasized in order to achieve desired growth of Ijumu as a whole.

He, however, stressed the need to improve on the generation of revenue of the Council for adequate funds to enhance the wellbeing of workers and execute projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of people.

The Caretaker Chairman also enjoined management and staff of the Council Area to remain committed, make punctuality their watchword as well as shun absenteeism for better service delivery.

On his part, the Director, Local Government Administration, Mr Femi Asaju assured the caretaker Chairman of the total cooperation of management and staff with his administration in ensuring Ijumu is taken to the next level.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Emmanuel pledged their readiness to support the Council Boss to enable him achieve his lofty agenda for the Ijumu populace.
