Lawi Calls on Kogi Govt to Honour Standard School Onyukoko Okene

The member representing Okene l State constituency in the Kogi State House Of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed yesterday moved a motion calling on the State government to honour Mr. Abdullahi Abdulmalik the headteacher of LGEA Standard Schools Onyikoko Okene LGA and all the pupils that participated in the just concluded grand finale of the 15th edition of the Annual National Mathematics competition organized by Nigerian -Tulip International Colleges and National Mathematical Center in Kaduna and Kano respectively.

Recall that the school emerged best at the 2018 edition of the mathematics competition.
From the two zones, they won 5 gold medals out of 6. 4 silver medals out of 8 and 5 bronze medals out of 10. The competition that was witnessed by 18 northern states and those brilliant pupils from Kogi State came out to be the overall best out of others courtesy of Mr. Abdullahi Abdulmalik and the wonderful and ever workaholic staff of the LGEA Standard school.

Hon. Lawi in his prayer urged kogi state government to honour Mr. Abdullahi Abdulmalik with the best teacher award and LGEA Standard as the best school to encourage them to do more.

He also called on the state government to pay the salary of all the cleared teachers that are yet to receive salary.

“All these little things I mentioned will in one way or the other boost the morales of the teachers and the pupils and it will awaken every other schools to stand up to their fit and by then there will be competition as to being the best,” he said.
