Lawi AT Ahmed Donates Computer Sets To Standard Primary School Onyikoko, Okene

The Member Representing Okene I State Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed, has donated  computer sets to Standard Primary School Onyikoko, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Presenting the items to the school in Onyikoko Okene LGA on Friday, Hon. Lawi said the gesture was part  of his contribution towards improving learning in schools of his constituency.
He said the provision of the computer sets was part of his contribution to ensure the success of the state of emergency declared in the sector by the state government, as well as to support students of the area to acquire ICT skills for their personal development.
“As you are aware, just last year, I donated 10,000 exercise books and 5,000 school bags to all the students in Okene l state constituency.
“So, we are doing everything possible to ensure that our students  in Okene local government councils are acquainted with information and communication skills so that they will be well prepared by the time they complete their education.
“This is part of such contribution towards improving learning in schools in the area of ICT which is now the vogue globally and we cannot afford to lag behind,” Hon. Lawi stated.
He said the gesture was in addition to the rehabilitation of 7 boreholes and fencing of Ebira Central Eid praying ground in his constituency.
He also promised to provide a projector to enhance the students learning skills and announced plan to empower youths in the area to engage in commercial farming.
“I am ready to provide financial support to our youths to enable them engage in profitable commercial farming. This is very critical as farming is a major source of income to some of our people.”
He commended the Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for his commitment towards improving the lots of the people and promised not to relent in his efforts in providing qualitative representation.
In a remark, the headmaster of the school Hon. Abdullahi Abdulmaleek,  commended the lawmaker for the gesture and his zeal in always taking the path of assisting the school and urged him to continue carry people along in the execution of community projects.
Hon. Abdulmaleek also advised other lawmakers in the state to emulate Hon. Lawi goodness and kindness in always giving back to the people.
The acting Education Secretary Alh. Aliyu Yakubu in his remarks expresses his sincere appreciation to Hon. Lawi and pray to Almighty God to continue guiding him to the right path.
Alh. Yakubu also called on all sons and daughters of Ebiraland holding any political office to emulate the good work of Hon. Lawi.
