Hon. Muhammed Yahaya Dongo has commended the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for honoring the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
In a statement issued on Wednesday in his Abuja media office, Hon Muhammed Yahaya Dongo described the former Governor as a law-abiding citizen and a generational asset.
Dongo said the former Governor is a political leader whose leadership style inspires individuals.
“He would never cease to amaze the masses when it comes to productivity, law-abiding, and development. His presence in the EFCC office yesterday demonstrated his obedience towards the judiciary system and the act reaffirms him as a good citizen that exemplifies orderliness.
“Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello embodies peace, standing as a beacon of unity in Kogi State and Nigeria at large during his tenure. His consistent efforts to bridge the gaps among diverse communities in Kogi State reflect his unwavering commitment to fostering harmony and goodwill.
“The foundation of excellence and good governance laid during his tenure as Kogi State governor is what the people of Kogi State are feasting on in the present administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, where he was committed to revive and enhance the economic situation of Kogi state,” he said.
Hon Muhammed Yahaya Dongo called on the EFCC to handle the former Kogi Governor’s case with utmost sincerity and ensure it is not a political trial, reminding the EFCC that the good people of Nigeria are watching.
He prayed to Almighty God to see former Governor Bello through his trying period, expressing confidence that the good people of Kogi State are with him.
He stated with confidence that Alhaji Yahaya Bello will be vindicated and come out stronger.
