It is indeed true that some were born great, some struggled to greatness while others have greatness entrusted on them.
For the late Prince Abubakar Audu, although he was born into a royal dynasty and great family, his life and time shows that he walked and worked through to greatness.
Late Prince Audu despised the odds and impediments on his path to become a colossus whose footprints and legacies will continue to be a great inspiration to even the generation yet to come.
His lifetime achievements and successes spans through private, corporate, political and governmental exploits and patriotic services. As a father, he was loving, as a banker, he was Professional and goal-oriented, as a politician, he was sportsmanly and really outstanding, as a governor, he was a trailblazer and record-setter and as a citizen, he was patriotic, exemplary and very sacrificial.
One year down the lane, Prince Audu remains an irreplaceable political pathfinder, unassailable administrator, unmatchable community leader and an unforgettable patriot.
It is therefore important that apart from immortalizing him, we must continue to study, follow and exhibit the ideas and beliefs he stood for in the interest of the development of our state and the polity.
