A staff at the Kogi State Judiciary, Temitope Olufemi has described the former President, Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal, late Justice Ibrahim Atadoga Shaibu as a generous man who served God and humanity.
Temitope made this know while speaking with journalists in Lokoja after the jurist’s burial.
He stated that late Atadoga lived and worked for his generation, adding that the late jurist’s legacies will remain indelible on the sands of time.
According to Temitope, the late Jurist had always said the writings on his epitaph should read: “I served the purpose of God for my generation”. He noted that late Atadoga’s life truly symbolized his desired epitaph as he was known to have lifted many, irrespective of where they come from.
“Late Justice Ibrahim Atadoga Shaibu was an exceptional mortal and history will remember him for his impact in the lives of the less privileged in the society.
“He was like a father to me. Aside helping my wife and I secure our current source of livelihood, late Justice Atadoga was still there to pick most of the bills during our wedding. I will remain glued to his principles of generosity.
“I will live my life thanking God for blessing the present generation with a man like the late Jurist. He was a colossus who came, saw and conquered,” he said.
He described the late Jurist as a shining example for him and the coming generation to learn service, humility and philanthropic gestures in an unusual dimension.
Temitope prayed that God grant the late jurist eternal rest and comfort the family in their time of grief.
