The Chateko Vocational Institute is set to graduate pioneer trainees in Garment Making skills, on March 15, in Ileke Emonoja, Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Chateko Vocational Institute is an initiative of a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO), Ladi Memorial Foundation (LMF), aimed at empowering the youth and women to be self-reliant.
A statement by Mrs Rosemary Osikoya, the Founder of the Foundation, on Tuesday in Lokoja, said that the maiden graduation ceremony would hold on Friday March 15, 2019, at the LMF Chateko Vocational Institute, Ileke Emonoja (Ojuwo), Ogugu District, Olamaboro LGA, Kogi State.
Osikoya, who doubles as Kogi Commissioner for Education, Science & Technology, announced that the NABTEB Modular Examination for the trainees would take place on March 13 and 14, 2019 at the institute.
According to her, the graduation ceremony will feature: showcasing of trainees’ final projects, donation of community projects to LGEA school, Ileke, and scholarship award to the best graduating students.
Other line-up programmes at the occasion include: donation of prices (equipment) to deserving graduants, unveiling of LMF projects for 2019, among others.
She enjoined the general public, relevant stakeholders and all well wishers to come out en masse to grace the occasion.
The LMF was founded in memory of the founder’s late mother Mrs Ladi, based on her passion and commitment to see people becoming self-reliance and positively impacting the society.
LMF is committed to raising generations of impactful, skillful and productive people.
