KSU Kabba Management Visits Kogi Police Commissioner, Seeks Collaboration

The management of Kogi State University, Kabba, on Thursday, paid a courtesy call on the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Bethrand Onuoha at the police headquarters in Lokoja.

The visit, which was at the instance of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof K.I.T. Eniola is part of his plans to establish a close working relationship between the university and security agencies towards ensuring a safe research, learning, and business environment for staff, students, and friends of the university.

The Vice Chancellor commended the State police command as a veritable partner in the successes recorded by the government of Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, who is the visioner of KSU Kabba. He added that the visit was to seek a cordial working relationship between the University and the State Police Command.

The Commissioner of Police responded that he and his team were delighted to receive the Vice Chancellor and members of the delegation.

He noted that KSU Kabba was the first university management to visit him since he assumed duty as Commissioner of Police in the State.

CP Onuoha assured the Vice Chancellor of the readiness of the State Police Command to collaborate with the university.

The CP recalled his days as a lecturer at a first generation university before joining the police, and assured the Vice Chancellor that he understood the peculiarities of institutions of tertiary education and would do his best to partner with the University.

Members of the University’s delegation included; the Registrar, Dr Joel Amodu Usman: Librarian, Dr Lanre Mbashir; Bursar, Mrs Florence Gbodi Alabi; Director of Academic Planning, Professor Olanrewaju Ifatimehin; Director of Physical Planning, Dr Hassan Otuoze; Chief Security Officer, Mr Samuel Olubato; and Public Relations Officer, Mr Tade J. Oshaloto.
