Tertiary institutions in Kogi State will soon enjoy relative peace that will facilitate the smooth running of their programmes.
The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KSSTF), Hon. Teina Abdulmalik, gave the assurance during an interactive meeting with the heads of tertiary institutions, ministry of education and management of the Trust Fund at the conference hall of the ministry in Lokoja.
Teina, who was represented by a trustee of the Trust Fund, Hon. Paul Iselewa, said with the establishment of the planned central logistics base, the Trust Fund will monitor and respond promptly to any security challenges in any of the campuses in the state.
He called on the management of the institutions to collaborate with the Trust Fund to actualize the establishment of the base, adding that the base will add momentum to the efforts of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in securing the state.
Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones Ojo, reiterated the efforts of Governor Bello in revamping education sector, stressing that it can only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere and called on the management of the Institutions to cooperate with the State Security Trust Fund.
In their separate responses, the management of the institutions pledged their unalloyed support to the success of establishing the logistic base.
