I couldn’t have envisaged the degree of codology occasioned by desperation. But ours is apolitical hemisphere characterized by cluelessness, sycophancy and parochialism. Where political aspirants usually come up with multifarious pages of high sounding manifestos. But rarely will what is contained in a page of these manifestos be effectuated until another election year gathers momentum. Then you will see them running pell-mell to have something as backup for re-election.
Senator Aidoko is typical of this fact. He has deceitfully commission two boreholes in the last three weeks as delineated by Yusuf Abubakar (no photo backups). Recalled that the lawmaker who has been in power for sixteen years without a tangible impact started with a miscreant excuse of legal squabbles as impediment to his legislative output. Followed by apologetic spree for be a colossal failure.
My source confirmed to me that the senator once concurred at Ankpa that he knows Kogi Easterners don’t like him anymore. I can go on and on with unjustifiable excuses given so far by the clothed despotic legislator. But the absurdity here is a borborygmus write up from AAA support group titled “Senator Aidoko’s Scorecard Has Vindicated Us” I swear this is the smoothest lies of the century. And if we do not confront the it, Aidoko will be feeling unrestrained.
At first, I was excited when I stumbled on the piece, hoping that his numerous projects (including the bills and motions he has sponsored) would be silhouetted. And having discovered that the so called rural electrification projects and several boreholes he claimed to have executed never exist. They were all lies sponsored from the pit of hell through media brigands in a bid to blend with a figment of imagination. But reverse however became the case as the writer ended up exonerating Aidoko on the podium of party’s choice.
The second paragraph of the write up is quoted as, “we will continue to promote the choice of our party, PDP in all elections in 2019 considering the peculiar nature and sad experience over time in Kogi state”. At least, every discerning Kogites can actually see the self enthralled hypocrisy here. Is Aidoko not part of the sad experience over time in Kogi state? Or can PDP deny their involvement in permutations that plunged the country into this abyss?
I have said this repeatedly, that neither APC nor PDP can lead Nigeria to her promise land. Take a clear view of the current challenges and you will attest to this fact. I have also said this before that, the very essence of adopting party system in a democratic society is not taken into cognizance in Nigeria’s politics. I made references to America’s politics as, “the real reason for party system is to harness collective economic perspectives to better the lives of its citizens.
But in Nigeria, party’s interest is simply the godfather’s ideology. Aidoko has promoted his choice and that of his party for sixteen years and he is willing to do more.
But never again.
Because PDP as a party has no respect for the rule of law and civil liberties. Just take a look at this, despite the fact that the party is resonating after a flawless defeat in 2015, it has committed the highest form of crime against democracy and its enablers.
After extorting millions from aspirants, they refused to conduct the expected primaries which would have given the people an opportunity to choose their leader. Instead, senator Aidoko emerged unopposed as the party’s flag bearer via back door. Unfortunately, no one is talking about this. The Uche Secondus led PDP national executives and Sam Uhotu led state executives sees nothing wrong with the grand injustice. And the so called gangs of democratic rapists (Attai Aidoko Ali continuity group) have reinforced their evil modalities that will see to the end of democracy in Kogi East.
Now, you may want to ask, how can PDP allow such travesty at this infant period? The answer is simple, the party’s course is empathically on selfish interest of its cabals. And senator Aidoko remains the only alternative to keep abreast with this interest. But I assure you, Kogi East shall be free.
The writing’s third paragraph depicts, “From experience, lawmaking and leadership of the legislative arm are not ideal for first timers”. Says who? In fact, if Nigeria must move forward, the time to source for an innovative parliament through young and creative minds is now. And party loyalist have no say in this direction. Besides, had Aidoko lived up to expectations, Ugbamaka Igah and Kogi East at large wouldn’t have been where it is today. As far as am concerned, we should have been celebrating democracy in all elections if not for Aidoko’s unending quests to keep Kogi Eastern resources accessible by few.
The most baffling is that, our senator is campaigning for re-election without a mantra. I mean Aidoko has been vouching for votes from Kogi Easterners with what he deceptively tagged as ‘Ranking advantage’.
Ironically, he has refused to accept the fact that there are more sound legislators with top-notch achievement than himself. Perhaps, Nigerians had trashed the record of his controversial emergence at the helm of affairs.
The citation of senator David Mark, Ekweremadu and the host of others as point of reference was another low and primitive ways of convincing electorates.
Space may not permit me. I would have school Aidoko’s e-minions through David Mark’s 20 years legislation. But an ardent follower of political events knows he has failed the people of Benue South. He deceived his Idoma kinsmen with the creation of Apa state, knowing fully well that the existing ones have not been sustained. As a matter of fact, he traded the plights of his politically vulnerable minority for ostentation as evidence in the relieved of over 200 domestic staff in 2015 after Jonathan was defeated.
Now the hypocrisy in the entire narrative is that, David Mark as senate president could not attract some basic social amenities to his ancestral home. In fact, the bill for creation of more states in Nigeria was red once at a plenary in 2012. His own Otukpo town is a hub of criminal activities such as cultism, robbery, kidnapping and so on.
Just like senator Aidoko, elections that have been favoring David Mark since 2003 has never been free and fair.
Similarly, Ekweremadu did not attract much projects to his constituency. But he has been very frankly with their aspirations, telling them what is achievable and what is not.
Recalled that, the people of Enugu West were also clamoring for a state. But the deputy president of the Senate summoned them and made it clear that Nigeria cannot create more states as at the time- the kind of truth desperation will not allow Aidoko to tell Kogi Easterners.
While achieving for his constituency, it’s also on public domain how Ekweremadu used his position to the advantage of his constituents in terms of federal employment/appointments. Now, this lawmaker has been in the Senate since 2003 and he is still contesting. So if I may ask, how possible is it for Aidoko who just maneuvered his way to the Senate in 2011 to become the senate president while senator Ike Ekweremadu remains in office?
Fellow Kogi Easterners, we cannot be deceived, Aidoko is ranking for his pocket and that of the party executives. He is vying for expansion of personal wealth empire. In fact, those he tagged as first timers have impacted lives much more than his sixteen legislative years. We will not concur to every cynical propagation of his overreach this time.
You see, the saying, no one can lie or hide anything when he looks directly into someone’s eyes is obvious here. An extract from the God damned write up states; “Lawmakers have no executive powers, so much should not be expected of them aside one or two projects”. Yet, the writer ignorantly posits that David Mark, Ekweremadu and Yakubu Dogara’s achievement is beyond a state governor. Amazing! But this should serve as a deterrent warning to everyone that Mr lie can only travel round if Mr truth is putting on its shoes. Aidoko is soaked in the pool of his own lies.
Sometimes, I wonder why our leaders loss their conscience the moment they gets to the office. How can Aidoko accuse the state government of mismanaging Kogi’s affairs? Does he have the moral sanctity to do that? Of course no! But this saintly exhibition of his is borne out of the fact that he disregarded the perks in his own eyes. If not, both of them are birds of the same feathers.
I have personally traveled to some towns where the senator claimed to have provided boreholes and transformers. And I can confide that such never existed. As a matter of fact, the people of Omala can testify to this. He recently declared that he has electrified Omala townships. Whereas he doesn’t even know the road that leads to the Omala and its environ.
I hereby challenge anyone especially his supporters to prove me wrong with pictures of such projects if there is any. As for the so called media aloof, the people have step up beyond that.
I am waiting.
