A group, Kogi APC Frontiers has described the victory of Alhaji Usman Ododo in the just concluded governorship election as the express will of the people.
In a statement issued by Johnson Musa on Monday, the group said after weeks and months of politicking and electioneering, the people of Kogi arrived at a consensus – the candidacy of Ododo/Joel as the best combination for the development of the state and they voted to reinforce that belief.
Johnson Musa, however, noted that the incoming government MUST be an all-inclusive government for all Kogites, stressing that “this is what we campaigned with”.
“We appreciate our supporters and in the spirit of sportsmanship, we offer our hands of victory to our opponents – PDP and SDP.
“I want to congratulate the people of Kogi state for this well-deserved victory and my special felicitations to the Governor of Kogi – H.E. Yahaya Bello and his team, for a brilliant delivery.
“Indeed, it is victory for all of us in Kogi State and not anyone in particular. Let’s work together to move Kogi State forward, by building on the firm foundations of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“This is the Will of the People,” he affirmed.
